Contemporary Quilt Group Annual Meeting in Manchester

Doors open 10.30am, meeting starts at 11.00am

Join us for a great day out with the opportunity to meet a fabulous group of like-minded individuals – your quilting community from around the country.  Bring your textile creations to share with everyone.  Cake (of the non-messy variety) will also be welcome!

Have your say about what happens within CQ and also listen to a great speaker.  Refreshments will be available from 10.30, but please bring your own lunch.  All will be finished by 4.00pm latest.

11.00am - Annual Meeting: This is open to all CQ members and is free of charge.  It is the opportunity to have your say about how CQ operates.[note that if you are not a member of CQ you are not entitled to attend the AM].

2.00pm - Speaker: Karen Nicol - a mixed media and embroidery artist and designer who designs and produces embroidery in the worlds of fashion, interiors and gallery.  Karen states that she will bring samples of her work.  A nominal charge will be made for the afternoon speaker:  CQ members £5, Guild members who are not CQ members £10, non-Guild members £15.  Please pay on the day at the door.  The correct money will be appreciated!

Venue: St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green North, Manchester M12 6FZ.  This is a Grade 1 listed church which has been repurposed as a conference centre for the voluntary sector.  It is within a 5 minute bus ride or 10 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly rail station.  Additional information is available on their website:
